From browsing while on the move, to running lots of applications at the same time, we all use the internet in different ways, for different reasons. Which is why we’ve kept things simple, with a site that’s clear, easy to use and as accessible as possible.

We’re always here to help. If you have any difficulties with any aspect of the site please do get in touch and let us know. We’ll do all we can to make things better.

We believe that usability and accessibility must have a solid foundation. So we’ve used the XHTML 1.0 and CSS specifications created by the W3C. We have also worked hard to achieve AA accessibility as measured against version 1.0 of the WCAG.

We’re aware that a number of the checkpoints of the WCAG are subjective. As a result, although we’re confident we’ve met them fully, there may be instances where interpretations vary.

Text size and readability

We want you to enjoy reading our site, so we’ve made our text the optimum reading size for comfort and clarity. However, if you prefer it bigger, or smaller, just click on the view menu in your browser and change the size to suit your needs.

Screen resolution and software compatibility

This site has been designed to responsively reformat for a variety of devices. It will also work at various resolutions, although resolutions below 1024×768 may not format correctly. To change the screen resolution in Internet Explorer on your computer, open ‘Display’ properties and click on the ‘Settings’ option. Draw the sliding ‘Desktop Area’ scale to 1024×768 or higher.

This site has been designed with backwards compatibility in mind. To get the full experience you should be using Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer 9, or above.

Internet Explorer 8 has some support. Internet Explorer 7 has limited support. Previous versions are not supported.

We strongly recommend using the latest version of your browser. Look for the ‘Update’ function in your browser, or download the latest version here:
